Finding homes in expanding metropolis

pic84The fair, which was inaugurated by film producer Kalaipuli S Dhanu, saw some key personalities like Susan Mathew, Additional Chief Secretary and Vice Chairperson, CMDA, Chitty Babu, President, CREDAI, and CMDA, Akshaya Homes, and M Balasubramaniam, MD, REPCO, speaking on the subject – Expanding metropolis.

The builders, who cared to provide the best options in budget and luxury homes, also answered the queries rose by the public on their current and future projects and explained the reason why one should go in for a safe and secure future buying homes in the expanding metropolis.

Everyone knows that Chennai city can no longer take the growth in terms of houses, both premium and affordable ones, and there is always a need to expand the metropolis, all for providing homes for the ever growing population.

In the recent past, the suburban business district of Velachery, Perungudi, and Mount Poonamallee witnessed the maximum activity as compared to the other micro markets and around 0.27 million square feet was absorbed in the last quarter alone.

The demand for houses in the peripheral business district of Perungalathur, Sholinganallur, Siruseri, Sriperembudur r, Oragadam, Ambattur and GST Road is picking up and the trend is likely to continue for the next few years, hopefully.

Theproprietorsof Hiranandani Upscale, Hirco, Akshaya Homes and Marg are some of the leading players in the realty sector who have a social agenda for providing houses to all sections of people under the mass housing sector. They promote the self-contained and gated community model in most of their projects.

N Palaniappan of South India Shelters Private Limited, one of the participants, said that the property fair not only served as a brand building platform, but also acted as a business development exercise.

Another participant S C Sekar, Proprietor, Madhuram Properties, said that the property fair organised by The New Indian Express Group could go a long way in establishing a long-standing relationship between the builders and the buyers.
